Youth

Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity

2 TIMOTHY 4:18

The mission of the Calvary Chapel Greeneville Youth Ministry is to teach our teens and pre-teens the word of God, and help them to not be ashamed of their Faith. It’s our desire that they live in boldness of the knowledge of the Lord Jesus and experience the fullness of His riches and grace made available to them at the Cross.
Our Youth Ministry is divided into middle school students grades 6-8th and high school students grades 9-12. Our middle school students are transitioning from Children’s Ministry to Youth where they are able to be taught at their level.
The high schoolers are challenged to be role models in their peer group as they grow and mature in their walk with the Lord.

There are three basic elements to the youth group: head, heart, and hands.

1) We have a formal time of Bible study after worship on Sunday mornings and on Wednesday evenings. We place a major emphasis on the word of God. We don’t measure success by the amount of pizza parties we can have but by how much of the Bible we can get into our student’s heads and hearts.

2) We also try to create an atmosphere of fellowship, where our students can build relationships, and experience what it means to be a part of the Body of Christ. We do this through times of casual hang out at church, home fellowship gatherings, attending youth retreats, concerts, lock-ins, etc.

3) Jesus said, He did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many. We also believe in the importance of Christ like service. We encourage the youth to serve in a variety ministries throughout the church. That being said, we also believe in reaching out into our community. We are always praying, looking, and listening for ways to serve those in our backyard and neighboring towns.

Romans 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
