Pastor Gary Hall

I came to faith in Christ in 1991 after a life marked by despair and substance abuse. Shortly thereafter, I began attending Calvary Chapel Hemet in Southern California, where the Lord called me into pastoral ministry. I learned the heart of a true pastor—faithfully tending to the spiritual needs of God’s people.
In 1997, the Lord led me to plant Calvary Chapel in Greeneville, Tennessee, desiring to share the blessing of verse-by-verse teaching of God’s Word in a region where this ministry did not yet exist.
I married my wife, Isabel, in 1999, and the Lord has blessed us with seven wonderful children. My passion is teaching God’s Word and reaching out in love. It is my heart’s desire to be a light in our community and throughout the world. The following passage has continually motivated my service:

“But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.’” — Matthew 9:36–38
